Important news about YC Library

YC Library is undergoing a major renovation project to become an Innovation and Learning Commons. Due to factors beyond our control, renovation will have to be extended through Fall, 2017. Access to books and services are available on a limited basis.

Check this Sway for more information.

Yukon College Library’s collection consists of more than 40,000 volumes, ranging from books, e-books, maps, DVDs, videos, CDs, and CD-ROMs. Subjects include environmental studies, First Nations studies, northern studies and women’s studies. The reference collection houses encyclopedias, atlases, dictionaries, and other reference works. Items from the reference collection cannot be borrowed.

The library also subscribes to periodicals in print, not to mention many more online through article databases such as Academic Search Complete, PsycARTICLES, ERIC, and more. These databases cover a variety of subject areas and can be accessed from any networked Yukon College computer or from home (current library patrons only).  Please refer to the Resources section of the library’s website to learn more.

The library has a limited number of research computers. Each computer provides users with access to a large selection of electronic resources, including the Internet. No emailing or chatting is allowed on these computers, but students have the option to use our computer lab for writing assignments, printing, and other activities not related to research.

Yukon College Library is part of IT & Learning Commons (ITLC). Check the ITLC page for more information on this division.

Come and meet our library team! We will be happy to assist you finding and using information appropriately. Check our Student Help and Guides section to know more.
